Ya know Bruce, the thing that all search engines rely on is links to be counted. That will never change. The day it changes will be the day you see newspapers go downhill, as well as a million other sites that republish content multiple times. The voting system related to links is an integral part of ranking. Without it there is really no way to have a ranking.

BANS was one thing, and while that can leave a sour taste in your mouth if you have had a bunch deindexed, it should also teach a lesson about content, and a lesson about anything you do in the future to keep under the radar. As far as building wordpress sites and getting links, I will keep doing it. I will keep putting in practice what i teach on this blog, and that's why I will be successful. I only hope others can do the same. One piece of advice Bruce. If you are going to build "The Big Desk", use it as leverage to get other sites indexed etc. It will build power and rank in time. I am adding it right now to Wookie Buddies. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

That's it..it's all about the links. It's a tough game. It's all about the links today but Google can change the rules at any moment. Those of us that bought dot info domains sure know about how fast things can change when somebody at Google makes an executive decision. While I still have my Bans site and a decent flagship blog, I've decided to try and write strictly for myself. No theme, no niche, no keywords. Just tons of content (at least I hope there will be in time) and all stuff I like, good food, environmental, technology. I have know idea if I'll develop a following but with some of the tools I've picked up on the 'Big 3' MMO sites it should be fun! Google may decide that they will lessen the value of links and make decisions strictly on content. We just never know.
Keep up the nice work.
